Hi. I have applied for EPF transfer from old organisation to new. considering the bad experience with the HR in old organisation, I requested for new organisation to sign the online claim for me. The claim was never e-signed by the old organisation. I raised the query, the HR lady said she would need to consult her PF consultant to e-sign it. She never signed it. But the new office has. Does it matter if the old office do not put an e-signature? more

For Pf transfer, only one employer (either previous or present ) needs to sign the form. There is no need to take signature of both the employers in Form13 more

Hi Madhura, as per my information now you do not need the sign of the previous companies to claim PF anymore. Also make sure that the old company has submitted your PF money. I hope you have UAN number and login password with you. Login and check your balance : http://uanmembers.epfoservices.in/ You can take help in new company to get your PF claim and UAN number if you do not have. With UAN number your old PF is automatically transferred & added to new PF account of new company. So it is not necessary for you to withdraw the old money. You can retain it for future earning interest till you retire. I hope this information is helpful for you. more

For transfer of EPF, u need to fill up Form-13, furnish the details about your previous organization, PF no. etc & submit the same to your new employer. For transfer of PF from previous organization to present employer does not require authorized signatory. The previous employer should have submitted all annual returns to the EPFO. more

For transfer of PF contributions from previous organisation to the present employer does not require the signature of the authorised person of your previous employer. However, the previous employer should have submitted all annual returns to the EPFO. Though computerisation has been done in EPFO linking all PF accounts with UAN, the system of submitting monthly and annual returns is not dispensed with. One thing you must take care of while submitting your application 13 (R) for transfer that the details such as your name including surname, father's name date of birth should exactly be the same what you have submitted to the EPFO at the time of becoming a member. Hope it is very clear to you that you need not have to approach your previous employer for transfer of PF contributions. In other words, your application for transfer should be signed by the authorised person of the present employer only. more
