Yes, you read it right. That is the extent of the menace of so called unsolicited commercial communication now on whatsapp with 51 pct users getting over 4 such messages each day.
And all of this is happening while the unsolicited SMS menace continues unabated with all 100% respondents confirmed receiving such SMS and 68% receiving over 4 a day. Below is the full report link:

I don't think that the privilege of receiving unsolicited SMS (none received on WHATSAP ) is reserved for users of the Apps mentioned. It is difficult to hide your email and mobile number details and hence the messages. While it is the job of regulating agencies to secure the privacy of common man, it is the job of certain individuals/ entities to promote their business to ensure their survival and well being. Whatever may be done, both will survive. The extent may wax and wane. more

whatsapp and face book are 2 biggest culprits in this regard. Dont buy anything advertised on facebook. See the website and buy only from reputed companies websites. more
