A 90 year Veteran asking for One Rank One Pension (OROP) Whose Medals were Ribbed
Off and his shirt torn by Police.

1 The images played out by media of MANHANDLING OF VETERANS by Police is most disturbing and TOTALLY UN ACCEPTABLE.
2. The insensitive Political and Civil establishment has played with Fire.
3. Apparently there are vested Political interests in the Government who have ensured that this contentious issue does not reach its logical conclusion because of Political Rivalry.
4. The Govt. (P.M.) will be well advised to intervene immediately and come out with a TIME FRAME before Media and Politicians in the Govt. do more damage to THE LAST BASTION and ultimate protector of the Peace and Tranquility the whole nation enjoys.
5. A veteran with his torn KURTA SPORTING MEDALS RIBBONS in scuffle with Police being played on TV is a grave warning . Hark !!!!.
6. The Protectors of the Country have now become Security Risks!!!.
7. If not controlled in time can become a risk to our Democratic Institution. more

Sir, I really feel SAD, When some uncouth ignorant individuals, who neither have anything to do with 'Defense Services - OROP' nor they would like to know - Why our Loyal & Patriot Soldiers are rotting on Indian Roads & Jantar Mantar for the last 182 days... a highly derogatory and insulting treatment by our Jealous/Apathetic Indian Politicians and Bureaucrats ... At least sympathetic India Public should support this 42 years old WAR with our own Corrupt Politicians ... Please! more
To me economics, like many things in life, is all about unbiased observations, unprejudiced perceptions, doing away with defensive statistical justifications, cutting off camouflaging irrelevant logical fallacies, chaffing off bombastic jargons, curtailing the instinct to churn out untested or untestable theories  and instead engage in interpretations of all the observed facts  uninfluenced by any ideological affiliations taking into consideration various factors that impact and/or involved in these facts appropriate to the context and relevant to the region. By applying these criteria, I feel Julian L.Simon as one among the many great economists. Don’t miss to read some parts with summaries of some chapters of one of his work THE ULTIMATE RESOURCE , of course, culled from the internet http://contentwriteups.blogspot.in/2013/08/economics-why-has-it-become-too.html http://contentwriteups.blogspot.in/2015/10/indian-economic-growth-story-under-nda.html http://contentwriteups.blogspot.in/2014/07/economic-useful-site.html http://contentwriteups.blogspot.in/2015/03/economic-development-and-empowerment.html http://contentwriteups.blogspot.in/2015/04/political-maturity-after-60-years.html http://contentwriteups.blogspot.in/2015/11/proclaiming-intentions-better-than.html http://contentwriteups.blogspot.in/2015/08/it-is-grand-modi-leading-grand-nation.html http://contentwriteups.blogspot.in/2015/11/inner-dynamics-of-this-country-is.html http://contentwriteups.blogspot.in/2015/11/what-needs-to-be-prioritized-for-india.html http://contentwriteups.blogspot.in/2015/10/substance-over-superficiality-reforms.html http://contentwriteups.blogspot.in/2011/11/economics-is-not-only-indicator-of.html Unfortunately our information input and subconsciously opinion molding is both done by these popular media houses who too suffer from selective amnesia and collective indifference. Let us not fall a prey to that.
