A WELCOME MOVE FROM RAILWAYS :

There has been protracted discussions , complaints and suggestions on the exorbitant charging by the IRCTC of food items in the trains and stalls . There were no IRCTC prices displayed any where . All other methods taken by railways were thwarted .This silenced the passengers . Now the passengers have been provided a list of food prices on the 2nd page of e- tickets ,the hapless passenger needn’t pay more than the listed price . Our complaints suggestions have been rewarded.

From the price one may feel that the food cost is subsidized or is on a no profit basis. Look at what we were paying and what the official charges are. Welcome Railways .

Railways should take care to see that the listed products should be available first and then go for other choices . One shouldn’t be denied theses benefits offered for the passengers by the Railways go for costly food items.

ALL WE PASSENGERS NEED FROM RAILWAYS IS TO SEE THAT WE ARE CHARGED ONLY THE OFFICIAL PRICES . WE DON'T NEED ANY FREEBIES.

I am not sure if the Manually booked tickets also bear the prices. more

food is so rubbish even if it is free, no health conscious people will like to eat that more
We passengers must be strict with the vendors and insist on bills and making payment in line with the chart provided by Railways. We should also cooperate with one another when one person challenges the catering staff. more
