The rule that Aadhar card is to be linked to one's mobile number is a frustrating exercise for those of us who have lost our finger prints due to age or whatever reason. The finger print scanners at the mobile phone stores are unable to detect the finger prints because the finger print lines are faint. They threaten to withdraw the number without suggesting any remedy to overcome the problem arising from ageing or some ailment following the issuance of the Aadhar Card. The main blame for this must go to the government and its ministry/department that require this rule without taking every situation into account in order to cause the least difficulty to ordinary law-abiding citizens. The Aadhar outlets are also unable to suggest any remedy and meekly suggest that we await some government action in this regard in due course. In the meantime, what happens to the senior citizens and others who are living alone and are dependent on their mobile number to order medicines, make doctors appointments, order groceries, maintain contact with others who do not live with them, medical emergencies, call to ambulance, etc. I can go on citing many such situations where one depends on a mobile number. The crucial issue is that while putting in place regulations, those concerned are oblivious to all aspects of their decisions. They make ordinary citizen victims of their policies while those bent on flouting the rules and regulations are able to somehow carry on their activities by bending the rules here and there. Very pitiful situation indeed. more
Suffer, suffer and suffer for the sake of your country this linking tortures you !!!!! You quote patriotism of Germans and Japanese but not willing to suffer a bit when Modi Govt. is determined to weed out infiltrators, hang-ons, suckers, leeches....Suffer a bit. Do not cry. more
I also have experienced the same problem.I am aged 80 years and above. The concerned government department must immediately inform the mobile operators to accept the photo identity. There is also a aadhar rule that aadhar linking is not required if the age of the person is above 80 years. Any way linking of aadhar number is causing immense trouble to citizens. more
