There must be a single "Resident Card", whatever be the name. This card must incorporate all details of a resident, I.e., biometric identifications, all features of KYC, PAN, Bank a/cs and other financial particulars, eligibility for BPL and other Govt. Schemes, DIN, Business and Professional details, Educational and other skill qualifications, etc, etc. Shri Advaniji had suggested a multi purpose card for every citizen decades ago. It is high time we implement this, instead of wasting huge money on some new card every third day. more
I agree with the view of having an ID card for each individual, including children. Maybe the AADHAR card is a beginning for such a system. But unfortunately there are far too many idiots even in the Supreme Court. People want to hids in the name of privacy and the SE has endorsed this on 24-08-2017. It is a bad day for the country. more
I fully endorse the sentiments and thoughts of shri om prakash. This is the progressive step needing a determined push to bring us a step closer to developed countries. more
Even the card shall have the transaction details, if required IT guys can dig down to properties that individual own. Consolidated multi purpose card is a must, may be everything is embeded to the same. more
This single identity card system we had already discussed, but did not listed in any of the consolidation. Solution for this is complex, as we need to plan a master database for citizen. It involves co working of high profile talent club and high end hardware/ internet facility. Most importantly a top man having high vision is essential. So that a person need not maintain around 6 identity cards for which government is spending around RS 120 crore * 6 * RS 200 for initiating all these, considering our population. Also each citizen has to spend lot of money to maintain and update each document on expiry. Unfortunately many government institutions will not accept some of the ID's as their requirement. more
