Aadhar hassles faced by common people
First of all, I tried to send all the documents to Hyderabad office for updation. That was rejected 3 times and then got to know that it has to be done by the authorised agents of UIDAI.
Then found that most of agents in Dwarka, Delhi have stopped operating and some agents are operating through Bank branches.
I took a leave and then started finding out the branches which will help in getting the updation done. After going around to SBI, ICICI, IDBI etc got to know that one is operating from Syndicate Bank. The guy from SREI Infrastructures Finances Limited, after showing lot of attitude and misbehaving with senior citizens and others, finally gave a form to get it xeroxed and asked for documents. I gave all the documents and the process was completed with Biometrics etc.
I was happy that my work is finally over and after some days got a message from UIDAI that my updation is rejected because of technical issues. From call centre I got to know that the process needs to be redone. No action on SREI for their inefficiency.
Got to know that Banks are now doing Aadhar updation. I went to ICICI Bank, Sector 5 Branch and they said that they have huge load and I need to take an appointment. Date given is for 3rd of March 2018.
If this harrasment is undergone by an educated citizen and a place like Delhi, just imagine the plight of citizens in small towns and rural areas.
Is anything going to change in India considering the attitude of Government departments? Unlikely.
The government might have good intentions but it is difficult to change the attitude of people, especially government departments. If UIDAI(set up to change Indian way of working and technically sound) behaves like this, just imagine what is the situation in other departments. Instead of taking action on UIDAI officials, FIR is being filed on journalists. more
