Aadhar Linking with Death Certificates
Now the government MUST also link Aadhar with the Insurance Policies, so that the nominees of that policy shall get their legal dues automatically and without any problem.
The Insurance companies, especially the LIC had been known for it’s delay tactics, and to make the deserving nominee suffer.
In the past, Nominee’s name and address was always being collected. Now the Insurance companies should be made to get other details like PAN, Aadhar, Mobile Number, EMail address & Bank account details of the Nominee.
With this, after any Policy Holder’s death, only a single claim form can be filled by any person, only by stating the Name & Aadhar number of the deceased. Insurance company can verify about the death and transfer the amount due to the Nominee’s bank account automatically. A message in this regards, could also be sent on the Mobile and Email address of the Nominee.
Care should be taken that neither the Policy Holder, nor the Nominee gets harassed in the matter, for getting this additional information. more
