Aadhar Linking with Death Certificates
It is Very Good that the government has decided to link Aadhar card of each person, with one’s death.
Now the government MUST also link Aadhar with the Insurance Policies, so that the nominees of that policy shall get their legal dues automatically and without any problem.
The Insurance companies, especially the LIC had been known for it’s delay tactics, and to make the deserving nominee suffer.
In the past, Nominee’s name and address was always being collected. Now the Insurance companies should be made to get other details like PAN, Aadhar, Mobile Number, EMail address & Bank account details of the Nominee.
With this, after any Policy Holder’s death, only a single claim form can be filled by any person, only by stating the Name & Aadhar number of the deceased. Insurance company can verify about the death and transfer the amount due to the Nominee’s bank account automatically. A message in this regards, could also be sent on the Mobile and Email address of the Nominee.
Care should be taken that neither the Policy Holder, nor the Nominee gets harassed in the matter, for getting this additional information. more

When the updation of Aadhar Card specially of registered mobile number is made an herculean task and without having proper grievance redressal system as well as adequate infrastructure, the Aadhar number is being mandated to be linked with each and every service without considering the security aspects. Are we able to dispense with all other procedural requirements and documents if the insurance policy has got the adhaar number. more

What Madam Sanyal and others question are the ones of the many problems linked with Aadhar. Just telling link with mobile even with thumb impression without creating proper background is likely to failure. Certainly trained persons only may deal with them. It must be properly advertised where such centres exist. And the biggest problem if Aadhar created at one State is not valid in another does it carry any real value other than showing to the Railways as Identity? Why Aadhar holder of one place would not get all facilities including internet links in another place? Unless all the hurdles are removed there seems to be not too big prospect through this Aadhars. more

A good and valid idea. But Aadhar should be an All India Linking entity also. Now one holding Aadhar card of one area is not given all validity in other areas. Having Aadhar from one area is not given internet link or mobile seem card in another area. This cripples the idea of its all India validity. And there should be Aadhar offices in each area, big towns for contact, amendments and other purposes. Now it seems to be no where in a town or city. more

Aaadhar has been made mandatory but the infrastructure of updating changes are not only taking immense time, it is equally tiresome particularly for elderly people to visit the enrollment centers and stand in ques with no result in sight. The centers are few in number and the staff are not well trained. It has become an easy source of making quick money I am a sufferer trying to update a small alteration which is still pending for approval. Aaadhar help center gives a customary reply which is again no solution. S.Sanyal more
