Abortions among teenage girls below the age of 15 in Mumbai have recorded an alarming 67% spike in 2014-15. In 2013-14 around 111 girls below the age of 15 had undergone an abortion. The number has risen to 185 in 2014-15.
This data is for Mumbai where western culture is affecting our teens and young one faster than any part of country, however I am sure data will not be different for Delhi and NCR region as well.
Why is there increase in numbers in teenage pregnancy? Is it because in few cases marriage at young age prevails? How many of us agree to child marriage’s existence-not many and most of us know child marriage’s cases are very few or nil.
So this leads us to a conclusion that tendency of young girls being dragged into physical relationship is increasing and many of these cases can be emotional blackmail or abuse.
When young girls are asked to indulge into physical relationship and at such immature age when they are not aware of consequences, it results in pregnancy.
As a society we will have to keep tabs on such activities which encourage young ones indulging into too much. Meeting away from home, without knowledge of parents, moving purposelessly in malls, late night outing, clubs and alcohol ill have to be stopped.
Firstly as parents we will have to nurture trust between us and our kids-tell them that there are no rooms for secrets as such secrets take away trust and rise suspension.
Girls and boys should be encouraged to meet at their homes openly where parents acknowledge there healthy relationship.
At the age when these teenagers are expected to study hard and shape up there career, sex and physical abuse will ruin their entire life.

From these abortion catch hold of Ultrasound doers and abortion doers of hospitals and they should be sent to jails. Besides the parents and teachers too be censored openly by issuing them letters. more

Abortions among teenagers? who performed these? Child marriage - were these married? conclusion that tendency of young girls being dragged into physical relationship is increasing VERY BAD CONCLUSION. You say that the teenagers are doing all sorts of extreme activities without knowledge of parents! hah! Don't call them parents. Just a breading animal. It is all fault of elders who take everything easy just to make room for their own to enjoy all these extreme activities themselves. Be accountable. more
