Accident Mediclaim
I had met with an accident during working hours. I submitted my claim bills (in original) to the company as required by the company. But they are not settling it and have also asked the insurance company to stop the process of settlement. Can someone please advise as to how can I get the claim settled. regards. more

go through the coverage in the policy if covered then file a case in ombudsman no advocate is required file a case by sending petition by regd ad. more

Your policy covers only accidents and not for any diseases.if you have any permanent/partial or even death you can claim for compensation under this policy but no claim is allowed for desease , more

From your post it is now clear that you have been insured under GPA policy of IFFCO TOKYO GENERAL INSURANCE. This policy does not cover medical treatment expenses arising due to accident. Your case falls in TABLE A cover of the policy. Since you have been hospitalised for 3 days for the surgery and thereafter discharged from the hospital. You must have been advised few weeks rest by the attending Doctor before you are fit to resume your duties. You will be compensated for the no. of weeks advised rest by the Doctor @ 1% per week of the Capital Sum Insured for the total number weeks for which you have been advised rest. Therefore your medical expenses won't be paid under this policy but you can make a personal accident claim under Table A of the policy.
