This is just excellent news that the Govt is acting on the localcircles report has called Ola Uber and warned them of penal action.

Everyone please watch and share this show by ET Now in which Founder of LocalCircles is sharing our plight on surge prices and driver cancelling ride for want of cash.

The point made on having different services by him is very relevant also taxi association president saying ola uber are like drug addiction makes sense to me. more

At Kolkata they were, just a month back carrying passengers without A/C whereas taking full hire charges as it was with A/C. Let more actions be taken against them. more
Really it's a good idea. Govt. should penalise the cab operators for their such denial attitude. It has become a common feature in recent times. Keep waiting and then compel to cancel or cab driver himself cancels the ride citing reasons. more
Ola and Uber are not very successful in India ‘cause only registered taxis can form partnership with aggregator. In the US and other countries even private vehicles can be partners. We also don’t know the terms and conditions of the aggregator-taxi driver partnership. Let these terms be made public for transparency. It is a business and therefore, is governed under Consumer Laws. Then only Persons requesting a ride can take the harassment question at an appropriate forum. more
If a driver accepts a booking he should not have the option of cancelling it. Calling the passenger asking for drop location then cancelling the booking, the Government should instruct the operators to follow no cancellation policy which should be implemented in the app itself. Otherwise the operator should be fined for every cancellation by its members to be passed to them. more
November 2021 I spent about two weeks in Lucknow in Gomati Nagar area & had to remain dependent on Ola/Uber to commute. The plight was the frequent cancellation of multiple times online bookings in the evening hours, booking in early morning hours to catch train or flight, travelling from Indraprastha Grand apartment to Gomati Nagar at around 8:00 PM. Later came to know from one fortunately accepted the booking that the reason could be the driver's house not falling in destination, CNG/Diesel crisis or whims. As most of the good trains start in early morning or late night, I had to book one day in advance woth some extra bugs. If such thing continue, we can definitely become a global economy soon. more
