Dear Sir, I would request you to convey the substance of this mail to our prime minister Modiji. For several years the American government had been favouring Pakistan with financial aid and arms aid. Both these were being used against India - i.e. the money was used for training terrorists and arms were readily supplied to the terrorists for use against India. Now the present American President Mr Trump has decided not to give financial aid as also arms supply. This is in a way favourable to India. Hence the Indian government should also be responsive to the gesture from America. At the Davos conference Shri Modi snubbed America for not contributing to environmental pollution and earned the applause of the European Union and China. This applause is of no material value to India. Similarly at the UN India stated that Jerusalem is not the capital of Israel. Factually India is correct. Yet in order not to antagonise America, our country could have obstained from voting on the motion. I have no idea of diplomacy nor am I capable of giving advice to our beloved Prime minister. My worldly experience over the past 86 years of my life made me feel on the above lines. I do not know what sort of advisers our prime minister have. Our diplomats have been trained on the Nehruvian line. Whether they have changed over the years is doubtful. Hence this note. Sincerely Ramachandran Venkatarama Iyer more

Dear Sir, It is nice to see that you take up with the government the views and opinions expressed by the members. I want to say and it is a fact that China exerts pressure on India on the northern frontier. Apart from this it also tries to encircle India. Nepal has fallen into Chinese influence. Similarly China has established its own port as well as airport in Sri Lanka. Now it has brought into its influence Maldives President. The Present president has over throws the High Court order and arrested the Judges. The previous president has been languishing in jail. The president has proclaimed emergency in order to arrest the judges. The previous president who is in jail has appealed to India to interfere in order to bring the emergency withdrawn. India simply keeps quite just by making a statement. Is the Indian government is accepting Chinese intrusion into Indian ocean area? I am sure you take this matter up with the Indian government and urge then to move the Indian navy around Maldives and force the president to withdraw the emergency and release all the past leaders from jail. Sincerely Ramachandran Venkatarama Iyer more
Dear Sir, The US President Mr Trump has imposed several restrictions on Pakistan. He Refused to provide any financial ir arms help to Pakistan. Now he has also asked Soudi Arabia not to extent any help to Pakistan. All these are favourable to India. Yet India's Prime Minister or foreign minister has not responded appreciating Mr Trump's moves. whereas at Davos Modiji criticized the American move in not reducing the heat pollution. I feel this is not good for India. It seems Modiji follows unconsciously Nehru's policy of non-alignment. Sincerely Ramachandran Venkatarama Iyer more
