Action on Genetically Modified GM Foods in India
Just so everyone is clear, the availability of Genetically Modified Foods in retails stores as outlined by couple of members recently is a violation of 4 laws of India. The Food Safety Act, the Environment Protection Act, the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act as well as the Legal Metrology Act.
I want to hear from these regulators the damage thats done is done. What do you plan to do now to ensure these foods are immediately eliminated from the markets. Your silence means your intention to not act or lack of willingness to enforce. more

Public questioning and feedback should serve as motivation for the authorities to do some thinking and take action for appeasement..... more

I do not think any Regulator will respond to this request. Please file a complaint at appropriate authority to get a response. more

Is there anyway to check whether the food items at various retail stores is GMF or ordinary marked as GMF and price hiked? Please enlighten me. If there is no way to check (by consumer) then GMF is illegal..... and must be eliminated from the market. more
