ACTION ON THE HEELS AFTER MR. GOYAL’S ANNOUNCEMENT

Look at the determination and the language, exuding in the statement of Mr. Ashwani Lohani , the Chairman . And one of most valid point that we all had insisted on …… OFFICERS to step out of office to make field visits and check for themselves.

He has “ URGED OFFICERS TO SMELL /FEEL , CHECK DUST BY TOUCH “ that shows that he has identified the malady that has been plaguing the Great Railways these few decades.
WE WELCOME BULLET TRAINS AND SIMULTANEOUSLY TO IMPROVE THE EXISTING STANDARDS BY THE OFFICERS TO SMELL FEEL CHECK DUST BY TOUCH .
WE ARE READY TO WALK HALF WAY DOWN SIR TOWARDS THE NEW BEGINNING IN RAILWAYS. more

It is welcome step towards better tomorrow. Thanks. more
Let us hope for a better tomorrow for the Indian Rails but our past experiences do not make us enthusiastic. more
exactly i think it is high time Ambani or Adani is asked to take over this giant loser more
One or two of the Governments in the past nationalised many industries including Air India and we have seen the downward slide of Air India and many of the public sector banks. They have accumulated debts running into thousands of crores at the expense of the tax payer more
Unless deep rooted Corruption is weeded out, nothing can change Indian Railways, which is almost impossible based upon today's work culture. more
We should not link bullet train with poor maintenance of railway infrastructure due to corruption and non-accountability. Bullet train is being financed by Japan with 0.1% interest that too with the longest period to re-pay the loan. It is difficult the change the work culture in railways due to unions' pressure. Since IR is a service provider, the salaries of all officials should be linked to performance. Excess man power/ghost employees should be weeded out to reduce cost. Lacs of passengers travel without ticket daily and there is no effective team to check the same 24x7. To take care of teething problems, 50% of the jobs should be privatized to reduce cost and increase efficiency. The security of railways should also be privatized as the present set up is deadly corrupt and non-functional. more
