Addressing Corruption: Recommendations for the next Government

Over the last 4 years, many of you have given inputs on how corruption occurs across various offices, organisations and at central, state and local levels. Some of our recommendations, primarily in the elimination of human interfaces with electronic ones have helped reduce corruption. Similarly, some very specific corruption cases were escalated to the Hon’ble President and Prime Minister and saw action being taken. We also came up with the 9 integrity basics for every Indian (attached) which if followed by all Indians, independent of Government can reduce corruption.

Now, as election results are announced, we seek your very specific inputs on what kind of anti-corruption reforms do you want the next Government to undertake. Once all inputs are received, we will disseminate them for broader awareness and escalate them to leaders of the bew Government.

We look forward to your inputs! more

In urban areas/metros the electricity is the life line (it is like oxygen), specially in Summer when you have children. And for unknown reason the power supply of our house goes off. We call the lineman. He checks the line and tells that meter and the cable (meter to house mains) is burnt off and has to be changed.... The cost of replacements is Rs ......... Now hot days of summer, children, and no power (oxygen has gone) ..... what is option except to pay.... get the power restored temporarily within 10 minutes. Meter and cable can be replaced following days..... Our systems are such..... My humble suggestion: Power supply company must provide emergency number to each and every customer (with due publicity) which must be toll free without IVR system. On complaint, the power should be restored within minutes/within 1 hour temporarily and then repairs, replacements, charges can be defined in normal time...... more
One important point missed out....try to be cashless in every transaction???? Particularly for the transport sector on immediate basis... more
Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. In the technology world public should have the access to submit many online and be able to follow the progress with alert triggers. more
*A most interesting book every library should have and all must read. Author has lived in Canada. Canada and Marshall McLuhan figure a lot in the book. 'Machine shall do for man what Man could not do for himself'.It is no mere utopia. May happen anytime a la McLuhan! A trenchant satire on Western-style democracy as it prevails in India today.Fact and fiction entwine and abrase to sharpen the edge of satire.Regards,Dr.Usha Sharma* *The+Prime+Minister+and+His+Robot+Wife&i=stripbooks-intl-ship&ref=nb_sb_noss * *Click Above* *Kindle &Paperback Editions at Amazon.com* *[image: The Prime Minister and His Robot Wife] * On Sat, May 18, 2019 at 8:18 AM Transparency International India < support@localcirclesmail.com> wrote: > more
Please note that an individual has no courage to raise his voice against corruption. We look forward to a protection from specific authorities and hardly get encouragement. With this digital world, the people are prepared to send the information unanimously (without mentioning the name) and our expectation is action be taken on that basis. more
