Prabash Mukhopadhyay In one of my suggestions, I propose that a special mobile task force together with armed police for running surprise checking in express and super-express trains should be formed by the Railway Authority to catch the TTEs in red hand and immediate issue of the temporary suspension order on spot for instance. They will check the receipt booklet and the printed list of reservation and judge the allotment whether RAC passengers are given first preferences or not, and any other unwanted passengers are allotted and why? Conducting Assessment of TTEs role during the train journey is important to stop the corruption factor. more
Time is money.I fail to understand why railways are increasing the fares very frequently giving invalid reasons while all trains run late. More number of trains run in same direction within a span of one hour. For example, kachiguda kurnool passenger, Bengaluru express & Yeswanthpur express without any passenger result in loss of revenue to the railways. Add to the above, there is no track doubling work happening anywhere. more
Dear Sivaramakrishnan Sir, There are indeed good people and we need to appreciate their good work. I have written a number of times in this forum, that good work must be recognised and appreciated. Carrot for performers and stick for non-performers. more
This addresses only about some percentage of corruption taking place at TTE level! What about the tasks they face day to day in dealing with passengers; that too with the unfriendly allotments made during reservation in the name of computers! In the recent two months period during my extensive travels, the experience I made and the Humanity extended by all concerned TTEs are worth appreciation. 1. On 23rd Oct, I reserved on line for 4 of us - me, my wife and my two grand children. Two of us allotted in C1 coach and two others allotted in C2 coach; no seat was adjacent. Some how the TTE managed with other co-passengers, and allotted us at one place. 2. On 2/11/2015 me and my wife were allotted berths in S10 and S11 coach in the train from SBC to Chennai. On boarding the train only around 11pm at Bangalore Cantonment, we realized the two compartments are separated by a middle dummy Pantry car with no way through. So in a hurry and tension, as train started leaving, I just left my wife in S10 and moved to S11. On TTEs checking only I realized that S10 is for me and S11 is my wife; as well her ID proof is also with me. However the TTE was so kind, consoled and advised me to get relaxed. He did get in touch with other TTE of S10 coach from his personal phone and settled the issue. 3. Another one on 30/10/2015 in C1/C2 coaches of the train 12609; not only we both allotted separately, many others have been allotted haphazard. Especially, a mother and her son of age 6 years allotted at extreme corners, Seat No. 10 and 57! Salutes to the TTE who neither got panic nor abused anyone nor complained anyone; so courteous and polite; amicably had dialogues with concerned passengers and made everyone to travel comfortably. Why these type of commendable job goes unnoticed! It is a pity that no one understands the day to day tasks these TTEs face, that too with unfriendly system of allotments. more
Cameras should fixed in each compartment of the every train and all the activity should be watched from the control room by the team . This control room must be available in each train. This idea will help in CORRUPTION ISSUE OF TTE & as well as the SECURITY ISSUE of the passenger. I know this is little bit expensive but can also be very effective solution for the above mentioned issue. more
