Advance reservation period
Honorable Railway Minister,
Dear Sir,
In this railway budget, ARP has been increased to 4 months. What was motive behind it?
Was it really required?
Di we thought its consequences?
In my opinion, it is not a customer friendly decision. Planning a travel 4 months in advance is really difficult. People will book tickets, based on their tentative plan. Most likely they have to cancel their ticket, as plan usually change in 4 months, or they have to travel on a date, which is not best suitable for them.
Also cancelling a ticket is something which always gives disappoint . A person invest his time and money to get a ticket, and have to cancel it. It might give railway lot of revenue in terms of cancellation of ticket. But do railway wants to full its coffer, on the cost of its customers stress and disappointment.
I think my view is very clear, now decision lies with you
