Advice needed for 65 year old rented commercial po
Hi my dad used to run a shop rented to my grandfather since 1958. During those days when first owner sold the building he sent the notice to my grandfather for paying the rent to 2nd owner. From that we paid the rent to second owner regularly till 2011. In this time span my father expired first than my grandfather in the year 2011. After that second owner did not accept our rent until he sold the building to third owner in 2014. Now third owner want us to vacate the property. What should we do? more
to whom you are paying the rent?are you paying the rent regulary? have you got any receipts? was there any letter communication between you and and 2nd owner? we have to see the sale deed of second owner first..if the shop is sold with the tenant,for the second owner, then the second owner should offer to sell first for the tenant only. Jitendra Kumarji you have not specified where is the plot located. which state or city. Every state has its own Rental Laws that regulate all the tenants and rented premises. Until unless you give all the details I cant give you a solution just like that. But one thing is sure, 3rd owner cant ask you to vacate just like that unless you take fast action to save your rented shop. more
It's always better to be amicable for continuing tenancy. All depends on past agreements. If new owner doesn't wish to continue Tenancy, even on fresh terms, litigation will take its own course. more
