advisory wrt water supply, sewerage and stormwater connections
Please issue an advisory wrt water supply, sewerage and stormwater connections also to these authorities. Inadequate potable water supply, blocked sewerage lines/backflow and severe flooding during rains in many residential sectors is common problem. Three mega sewage treatment plants have been constructed in Noida based on latest technolgy but treated recycled water has not been supplied back to individual plots and parks for non-potable use like flushing, horticulture and industrial cooling. NGT has banned use of fresh water for construction purposes but Noida Authority is not progressive enough to implement the dual water supply lines in all sectors on priority basis. Kindly act tough to implement the Ministry of Enviornment and Forest Policy of not permitting use of fresh water on all new projects since 2005 and part of EIA approval for all building projects in UP also since 2005. Unauthorized use of ground water for irrigation and air conditioning in cooling towers is very common in Industrial and Commercial Sectors of Noida and residential sector residents use fresh water for park irrigation and car washing. If STP treated water can be supplied in all sectors as secondary water source minimum 30% of fresh water demand will come down and Ganaga water can remain in the river/used elsewhere. It will be a very good initiative if pursued by the DM Sir. more

I agree that fresh water should not be used for secondary purposes as well as for construction work but use of STP water for primary usage is going to be problematic. My experience of two high class societies in two very important metro cities has been that often the STP stops functioning for one reason or the other and then it is a horrible situation. more

Excellent suggestion. Even if two pipe system is not implemented in sectors immediately for reasons of cost, treated water could be supplied at least for parks and common greens. Waste of treated water for greens, car wash and driveway wash is criminal in my opinion and ways must be found to stop this. The way things are going, water wars are not too far in the future, lets make an effort to avoid these. more

now a days with cleaning of Ganga Canal water supply is very short but no information was furnished to residents in this regard and now I learned that no water supply is there in evening. Is it true if yes how many days it will go. In morning also time is limited and water supply is not enough. People are not using this as judiciously as they are not aware of the above info. pls circulate it to all through SMS, whats up and through this circle. more

I agree with Girish. But the builders has a major role to play when they install water saving devises. It is criminal to flush down one full tank after a pee! These days flushes are available which has the otion of controlling the water which is a precious commodity. NOIDA authority should insist for such installations as standard and should not allow any other installations. more

Girish ji let us call spade a spade. Target of Noida authority is to earn/make profit and transfer money to Lucknow. This is the basic hitch in under development of Noida but of course this still better than development of Gurgaon. more
