AEGIS-security systems - company stops service in Hyderabad

It is very painful that after having invested money and installing a security alert system with central
Monitoring by the company they just disappear after 3 years but collected money for AMC
AEGIS is a brand from Canada and they have various branches including fire fighting , security and surveillance .
Now we are left with the equipment and no service is provided.
Earlier provider just terminated his contract with the main company .
The city has many subscribers who had installed it with belief that they are reputed but we are disappointed and feel cheated! more

My experience is that dont trust any Indian Business other than proven & trusted industrialists like TATA, KIRLOKAR, WIPRO, etc. to name a few who care for the country too{you can scan more who have their brick and mortar establishments in India @ can give you money back even if sold in scrap) because rest are flight by night operators, middlemen promoted by rotten corrupt politicians making money who pay huge bribes to be in business and then vanish once they have their pound of flesh. This is purely my personal experience and i would not entertain any discussion. Please decide for yourself. more
Dear Sri Prabhakar, I certainly sympathize with you and fellow citizen who have installed the same system. However, what I infer from your message is that the service provider, who is either a franchisee or an appointed agent who has wound up his operations and the main company still exists somewhere in India, if not in Hyderabad. If that is true, it is prudent to write to them your and your fellow citizen's ordeal. If the service job is reasonably viable, they will in all probability appoint a new service provider. If it is not viable, the only reason being inadequacy of service seekers (which may in fact be the reason for winding up of current provider), you certainly need to blame your luck for buying a rare product. more
AEGIS being a reputed company, is not expected to close their establishment. The consumer affairs ministry to look into the problem and take corrective steps. more
it is really difficult time to go through. Nothing is believable, one does not know who is who. If you go to consumer, they too are same. "Jago Grahak jago" is a good slogan, but when you seek a redressal, you understand the working of the consumer redressal. Then where and whom will you complain? So to say we are digitalizing, I think itis all a deception. We are all far far off rom western world in digital works. Your telephone calls, consumer complaints are not answered , no body listens and so on. We are on the mercy of almighty, and the CHEATS. Mr. PrabhaKKar, goo luck to you. Try consumer support. have courage and nail the culprit, let others escape the onslaught. more
Perhaps nothing unusualin this regime. Many companies are doing so. It's always better to know the establishment before accepting the terms & condition and signing an agreement. This simply indicates the poor governance of Govt. administration though tall claims are always there. Why don't you all subscribers file a case and ask to get back the AMC money with interest in consumer court. more
