Aggregators like Urban clap, Housejoy etc
I have hired a contractor as this guy was recommended by Urban Clap. The contractor sadly does not have any experience and has delayed my work and is doing a very shoddy job. When contacted Urban Clap has spoken to the contractor who assured them that he would complete the job. Basis that the work is still continuing.
I find that the aggregators only collect money from the service providers and have no system of checking out their antecedents. There should be a system to check these aggregators. I had earlier faced an issue with Housejoy who sent a plumber to do my work. As the work involved his entry inside the house I asked Housejoy for their assurance on safety they gave a very wishy washy answer and hence I did not use his services. For his visit he charged me 150 Rs. more

We are still atleast a year away from have this check inbuilt into the system. But we should continue to raise our voices. more

Now a days,media and whatsapp gives lot of fake information including Just dial.Many of the telephone numbers given are wrong.Many references given have not heard of that product leave aside their availability.Many an agencies do not update information on Google.Such people should be removed from information section of google.It is a sheer waste of time and energy of information seeker. more

Its better to hire such workers directly instead of hiring them through third parties, which would make the services much cheaper and quality would be assured. more
