Air India Issues

After a rodent, bedbugs allegedly infested Air India's overseas flights as passengers in business class of Mumbai-bound aircraft from the US this week complained of the crawling insects which also bit an infant.

Last night, sources said a baby was allegedly bitten by the bed bugs on the Newark-Mumbai flight, leaving the other passengers agitated and delaying the flight's onward journey to Delhi.

What should the consumer be compensated here? Can this august group please list out all issues of Air India and escalate them for action? more

General service by hostess is Luke warm.My daughter who travelled this wk from US told me that they do not attend to replacement request of toilet rolls even after request. Once while I was travelling they charge any rate of conversion of US dollar while selling liquor on board and there are variables even between hostes to purser in charging. They do not like Indian faces in international flights but pamper western looking humans with all charm. more

Reduce govt stake below 50% then see the desired change. Govt tag brings its well known weakness into the system as commercial concept takes a back seat. more
Air India Flt. AI 229 Dhaka - Kolkata Flight got delayed for more than 1Hr. ( sch. 21:25 took-off at 22:30), since the pilot desired to take a 2.5 kg pack of Hilsa Fish in his cabin, but was objected by the Security Officer (of Air India?) for a number of reasons. I have all reasons to believe that all fish lovers as also enemies will search for their handkerchiefs to block their nostrils - but again for all reasons - although quite a few of them may be in mutual conflicts. But, sorry Hilsa - although your clan is giving their lives for the culinary enjoyment of so many people, you had become the 'scape Hilsa' for this flight delay. more
Air India must compensate all passengers for dicomforts experienced by passengers during flight. The Air India staff are being paid handsomely in order to cleanup the aircraft, uth in NewArk and in Mumbai. There is absolutely no excuse for such third class services from an Indian carrier. Air India is running a loss because of overpaid, fat employees who dont do their jobs, report to work late and are shoddy in inspections. Air India must not be give any help fro the government, on the contrary, it is better to shut it down or use it exclusively for government work. I wonder what will happen to the new aircrafts being purchased by the Modi government. We dont have any dedicated employees who wish to see Air India as a First Class Carrier i=from India. Such employees must be fired from top to bottom. more
