Airline loot is happening

Airlines are Profiteetring like there is no tomorrow. For Delhi Bangalore few days back last day fares were 25000.

Thought Govt had promised that ceiling wont be removed and then our circle survey was saying the same but airlines are violating and charging whatever they feel like.

It was Happy Hours Rush. so Price dosen't matter for most of the peoples who want to enjoy . more
unfortunately in Bharat every corporate cheats consumer as there is no strict consumer law. it takes 10 - 15 years in consumer court to get any justice. My case against builder is pending for 13 years . Some thing is wrong with our legal system more
If people want government to do everything for them, want price control, and many other things you feel government should do for them, they should live in a socialist or communist country. The reason India is in such a position today is because we tried to govern with socialist policies after independence. That failed and we ran the country into sad debt situation. Please stop pushing for price control. more
For a service being so capital intensive, involve huge technology infusion, and much market competition - with even government owned airlines Air India getting taken over by private entity, this would be fait accompli, a result of price decontrol. Taking an industry view, in the developed countries, flying so affordable with prices often roughly half of India's pricing flying domestically. Of course, one must be lucky to get the price. Price variation is par for the course. That makes airlines economically viable. more
Absolutely. Airlines are taking advantage of the festival holidays and are hiking prices on a daily basis. It was INR13,000 for Hyd-Goa return and within 5 days the cost has gone beyong INR25,000. GoI seems to be hand-in-glove with airlines and instead of directing them to reasonably increase the prices during the festival season (due to high demand), the Govt is encouraging the loot. How long will this go on? Please take up this issue with MoA and GoI. Thanks more
