AIRLINE LOOTING THE SENIOR CITIZER

AIR INDIA LOOTING THE SENIOR CITIZEN

Today, 26.1.2019, I tried booking a ticket from Delhi to Mumbai for 8th Feb.2019. Please see how the airline is charging much more to the senior citizen than to the normal passenger, for the same flight and date, AI-317 of 8.2.2019.

Fare for normal citizen : Total fare = Rs.3836/- please see screen shot 1 below
Fare for senior citizen : Total fare = Rs.5123/- please screen shot 2 below

Is anybody in the government monitoring this loot by Air India ? Will some correction be made ? more

Air India should clarify, what is the full fare and what is the concessional fare for senior citizens. From the above it can be concluded that the base fare for Senior citizen is 4575*2=9151 where as fare for normal passenger is 3350.Why this ambiguity?Air India and Ministry of Civil Aviation should provide clarification. more
I have a discussion with AirIndia. The fare is calculated on full fare basis. I pointed out that in some cases I got lower fare than general category on senior citizen category. AirIndia could not answer neither it specified how much is full fare. I recently booked a flight with 5A - a priced seat, but I was given seat 25A while boarding.I asked for explanation for this change. No explanation provided. Only explanation that a request is made for seat 5A and the request was declined. It was a very strange explanation. I was not paid back the amount that I paid for the seat. more
This can be DIRECTLY reported to PM also. Once I reported this way, about below normal standard operation of one Indane gas distributor. Within a few days I got a copy of the warning letter sent by Indane management to that dealer also. You can directly check status in the internet too. more
Please write mail to air India and ministry of India aviation. more
Why not take this to the consumer grievance officer of DGCA more
