Airline safety

A few days back spicejet flight to Jabalpur had troubles. Today Another technical fault. Spicejet’s Boeing plane VT-MXG operating SG-011 flight Delhi - Dubai lands in Karachi, Pakistan as Crew observed unusual fuel quantity reduction from the left tank which kept on decreasing

The big question is: Is spicejet cutting corners when it comes to maintenance work of aircraft and replacement of components. Way too many incidents in last 12 months. The other day it was bombardier. Today is boeing 737. Only common thing is planes are managed and operated by spicejet.

Why is DGCA not doing an audit of the full fleet and delist any aircraft which is not 100% from flying.

Speak up people before all airlines start falling in this bucket. The circle survey was right that spicejet jas least customer satisfaction.

In any mode of travel, passengers safety is top most priority which government must ensure. Lest, respective airlines or railways or roadways must be penalised heavily. When it comes to pricing all modes have differential pricing as we can notice in railways, new class named "tatkal premium" is introduced besides, Garib Rath, 3 tier AC economy etc. So every mode travel finds ways and means to collect more and more money from passengers. IRCTC has convenience fee since more than 2/3 years. Of course, airlines and travel portal charge hefty convenience fees. Now roadways will start. I don't know what government does. Is it sleeping ? Recently issue of service charges levied by restaurants was raised. Government said, they should not charge but it has not made this mandatory and said customer should ask hotels not to charge. Is this way of handling the issue by the govt. Regulation by government must be put in force and without which hotels will continue to charge. Similarly, government must come with gazette notification mandating all travel modes not to levy convenience fees which is unjustified. Money is collected by travel modes in an unethical and unfair means on which government is silent. LC must take this strongly. more
I have spent 39 in Aviation Industry as an Instructor. There are two pillars in Aviation Industry i.e. Safety and Security. These are, at times, compromised in the name of On Time Performance i.e. On Time Departure. Secondly any mistake on ground will have an adverse effect in the air. more
I agree with the result of the survey. Futher in my recent air travels, I observed that the fares are very much on higher side and is just doubled. There is no check on price by any government side even though comfort and safety of passengrs is compromised. Leg room for Indigo aircraft is very less and is not suitable for little long journey. Is there any body to see all these or government has taken every thing as granted. more
matter should be taken seriously to avoid untoward happenings. more
The information being circulated is INCORRECT. The first problem arose due to a Bird-Hit. The second one is indeed a maintenance defect and should not happen. more
