Airline Seat Charges is extortion in some cases

The Navbharat newspaper today has carried our recent circle survey on the seat assignment loot and dark pattern that is carried out by airlines in broad day light with the aviation minister turning a blind eye towards it.

https://www.localcircles.com/a/press/page/airline-seat-charges-dark-patterns

Can we all please raise this issue on social media like whatsapp facebook etc so and demand that all airlines have 80% seats as non paid.

Further somemof them call this free webcheckin but to do it u need to pay for the seat ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ more

If 100% of travellers don't choose a preferred seat whom these airlines will be charging extra for seats. they certainely have to provide a seat at booked price. If we are ready to sit at any seat provided by the airline I don't think airlines will be able to charge any extra. Then whom we are to blame public or airlines? more
I would like to revert to old system where Air Travel was considered prestigeous. We don'i save much whe you take into accounyt the cost of extra facikities-bfood, seat choice, service and so many things. What we save is also lost many more times when you have travel at a short notice. Let Air Lines what they want, but let them offer good ke space, serve good food (Cost includedd in ticket fare), choice of seating, service at the press of a bell about all you queris and needs etc. more
This is legalised daylight robbery. People say that this is a trend in the west. However, where is the low cost when everything basic is treated as an add-on and charged separately? In a country startved of airline resources and more people wanting to travel, what works in the west should not be even in the scheme of things. There should be an all-inclusive ticket price and seats should be filled based on customer preference and how soon people check-in. Typically, 1/3rd of all seats would be Window, aisle and middle seats. First, they squeeze seat sizes, reduce the space in between seats and then charge you for window and aisle seats. Some airlines charge you extra for seats close to the emergency exit as "large seats" or "extra leg-room'. The way its going, they will charge you for reaching in one piece or for using the toilet. Its all money, money, money and low service standards. Overpriced stale and poor quality food, pre-booked meals sometimes not even being served, making air insurance an add-on, all rackets allowed to flourish by a mute regulator. more
Only back middle seats are available without extra payment. You are forced to shell out extra when you travel with family and need to be seated together. At least there should be a ceiling on number of seats with extra payment and the extra amount per seat. more
This is a marketing strategy in name of Economical rates. I think seats should be assigned Free of Cost while food can be charged separately more
