Serious shame on airlines. They profiteer to the moon by charging for everything and unlimited fares for last minute travels.

Due to increase in the price of crude oil and subsequently aviation fuel, increase in the fare by Rs.500-700 is not too high. Govt. should curtail wasteful expenditure and cost of governance to give some relief to citizens by by reducing taxes by 20%. But painfully, the number of freebies and salaries n perks of elected ones are increasing with each passing day. more

These shameless people are the ones who were voted to power. Indigo has announced this fare hike and Spicejet and other airlines are going to follow suit. Despite crying hoarse for 5 years, has the Petrol prices been reduced? Center blamed States and States blamed Center. When the announcements are made in Newspaper that the Center has mopped up so many crores collection in GST- don't feel happy because there could be a plan to wipe out even from your meagre savings by this tax or that. Union Aviation Minister would just toe the line of demand by Adani & Co who are managing the Airports. Not content with raising the Convenience charges now they want to put flyers into Inconvenience by the hike in the name of Fuel charges on Kilometers. I don't understand why aviation minister and his team should be ashamed. Costs are driven by economics. Any business is there to earn and make profits. We import 80-90% of crude oil. If oil prices go up we can't do much since these are driven by external factors. more
