Airlines full of VIP culture

Today with my Uncle Indigo playing fast and loose with seat allocation under VIP pressure. They bumped him off his paid seat because some former bureaucrat and “party” couldn’t be anywhere except row 1.

Can others share their VIP culture experience with airlines?? I am open to listening the alternate story of no vip culture too as that should be celebrated but the one we faced must be fixed.

These netas need to live and feel like common men and women. Till they dont they will never fix our problems, they wont even understand them. more

VIP Culture continues to prevail: Inputs Sought to address it
'Yesterday multiple members in different circles shared a video of an MP who recently was involved in delaying a flight by sitting on a protest because she didn\u2019t get a first class seat. These and many others like this are among the hundreds of examples we come across every year in India. Many of the members in this circle who were there in 2016-17 may remember how some of you raised the issue of eliminating red and blue beacons from vehicles which was taken up by LocalCircles (attached survey from Mar 2017). Subsequently in May, 2017, the Government announced the removal of beacons from vehicles of all lawmakers, bureaucrats and judiciary. Below are some of your past inputs on what other actions are needed to reduce VIP culture in India. Please review them and share specific inputs on what other areas suffer from VIP culture and the needed action. We look forward to your inputs! Further actions needed to eliminate VIP culture: 1) Removal of the word VIP from tens of thousands entrances, doors, lounges and entry gates 2) No VIP darshans at temples across India 3) Removal or Drastic Reduction of VIP\/EQ quota in Railways from current 80,000 seats per day. 4) Delay in aircraft or train departures due to VIP to have hefty penalties 5) Travel for families of VIP to be ticketed like common citizens 6) Any car with sticker VIP to be challaned by Traffic Police and spot removal of sticker 7) Only the top most 50 individuals at national level and 5 individuals at state level to get VIP security 8) All VIP passes for various events to be abolished.'

The services of Indigo Airlines are poor compared to some other Air Lines. Their seats are uncomfortable with less leg space, poor quality of food, uncourteous staff etc. Since you had a confirmed paid seat, you should complain to Consumer court to set the Airlines. more
I fully agree. In that way India is the worst country with slavery mentality in the genes. more
I fully agree with you. This culture to be stopped. Otherwise airlines should keep reserve for VIP seat which should not sell to public as VIPs are above public came from some other planet. more
I fully agree that that all passengers must be treated on par with preferential treatment for none. For this we must fight unitedly. more
It is we the people responsible for this VIP culture by these elected representatives. The people should make these thugs realize that they are only paid servants of the common man and no VIP. Only then this VIP culture will go more
