Airtel vs. Vodafone.Customer care can make or break relations

Customer care can make or break relations,I have been a hardcore Airtel customer, and customer care is always helpful @24 hours on 121.email,SMS. The number was allotted to my daughter years ago,who gave me 10 years ago after her marriage and this was a primary number for all, written on my board outside clinic,on writing pads besides having another Airtel number of my own.I never bothered to change name on sim card as daughter is living in Delhi only. Suddenly a brilliant Idea stuck my daughter to shift this number to Vodafone. It took 15 days for people to verify credentials of my daughter,My record of payments with bills for IPTV,2 mobile numbers have been good,as Credit card pays on my behalf and I just have to drop a cheque in drop box nearby.Vodafone was not convinced, they inquired on phone(I was posing to be daughter) Do I live in rented or own house? theek hai, chalta hai, I kept verifying all credentials as inquired by vodafone team,at some stage I felt like a Terrorist who was asked by Police all the details about her like Size of the plot where I live and number of floors our Own building has. I told the team Vodafone, such things were not asked by my mother when she came here for match making but I the daughter Do Not mind them asking more questions. They sent a person to verify I(married daughter) lived in my own marital house, asked the guard dozing off outside house who might have given erratic replies or the person questioning him might be Hostile to the person doing his job in Hot summer of Delhi? Who knows but the person who went to home of my daughter gave a negative report and my phone was disconnected for a day. My daughter gave documents for re verification but till today I the mother is minus my primary number. Missing Airtel network and their customer care service, they Do Not Treat ordinary law abiding citizens as Terrorists. I wish the clause of waiting for 6 months was not there to reconnect to old net work. I will wait and this time get same number on My name via number portability and Airtel. more

If a common men/women is unhappy with Service/Product/decision, they have to face a huge procedure without any or mere chance of victory. On the contrary - If company is unhappy with a decision , have to please few corrupt people and their job done!! more
My Vodafone is still not working and I cannot revert back to airtel before 90 days lock in period.this comment is here due to Internet of IPTV airtel ....otherwise outside my home I am without my main number though I have another connection too But number portability for telecom providers is more a matter of Ego than Consumer satisfaction more
Write a mail to vodafone, cc to airtel, appellate authority of both vodafone & airtel with also cc to TRAI, Ministry of Telcom & Consumer Court iId's........Then you will see how they react & resolve your issue. more
