I have been using Airtel connections like 2G, 3G and 4G sims. But I found in the billing that they use to cheat by adding up services not requested for and forced to pay the bills. Later I cancelled some of the connections.
Recently I bought 4G router from Airtel office on Nandidurga Road. The moment I came home and connected it didn't work. I tried different ways but no use. I called up the customer care and asked them to refund the money as they have supplied me defective unit....... this went on as you know.... finally I wrote to Appellate, Nodal and Customer Care that I will not pay for the internet usage charges and the same should be adjusted against the defective 4G router supplied. This went on with to and fro emails and harassing calls at odd times to pay the bills. No one was interested in listening to what has happened but wanted me to pay the bill.
Then Airtel Legal Service person called up and I said to go through all the correspondences and then get back to me. I don't know what happened he never called up.
Finally they disconnected the connection with out my knowledge. And they also disconnected my another 4G connection which I use to pay promptly.
If our consumer Law was good then we wouldn't have suffered so much at the hands of these so called billionaires.
In India people rob the poor and become rich. There is no law which will protect the poor.
Only God can save the poor. more

I have had similar experiences. Complaints were forwarded to TRAI also, but there was no response to show that it acts in such cases. Weak grievance redressal systems of our country encourage the cheats. more

Not only airtel most of the service providers are like this only TRAI has to step in you writ them silent is the reply. more

These things happen in our country only they dont dare to have such complaints in other countris whee implentation of law and greivance redressal mechanism is efficient. We have inefficient TRAI personnel and DOT they are age old persons who have scanty knowledge about the latest technology so they dont dare to correct the errors committed by these operators neither they make them to pay the compensation as it is not included in the licence agreement . The licensor is also incompetent they are age old enginees whose shelf life is over and they are being retained at such positions whre they cannot contribute anything for the interests of the public instead whatever the operator presents there they have to believe as they are not able to confront the operators submissions due to scanty knowlege therefore people of this country are cheated and robbed of their legitimate rights of compensations also. This needs to be brought to the knowledge of the kAdvisor to PM Mr Mishra so that he can take some suitable action by removing such overl9ived officers from such positions in DOT and TRAI and post the suitable and dynamic people in the interest of public. Otherwise we all will go on crying in vain. hanks more

THE TRAGEDY IN OUR COUNTRY IS THAT " WE HAVE NO ARBITRATION AUTHORITY - TO WHOM A MEMBER OF THE PUBLIC CAN APPEAL FOR JUSTICE ". THE GOVT. TALKS BIG - BE IT THE UPA OR NDA...!!!.. ONCE THY ARE IN THE SEAT OF POWER, THE AAM JANATA IS TOTALLY FORGOTTEN. THEN, THEIR ONLY INTEREST IS THE QUICKEST RECOVERY OF THEIR INVESTEMENTS ( expenses ) IN COMING TO THAT POST..!!!... OUR LABOUR LAWS ARE OUTDATED, OUR CONSUMER PROTECTION LAWS ARE PATHETIC AND OUR INVESTGATIONS INTO ALL CRIMES INVOLVING POLITICAL, ECONOMIC, SOCIAL AND EVEN SIMPLE CRIMES ARE FULL OF LOOPHOLES THAT IT DOES NOT STAND SCRUTINY IN ANY COURT OF LAW. NATURALLY, ALL THE COURT CASES CONTINUE TO DRAG AND OUR JUSTICE SYSTEM HAS BECOME THE LAUGHING STOCK OF THE WORLD. more
