Allot Fixed Luggage Space

My recent journey to Rajasthan was a great disappointments. Up to Mod Night passengers all over AC reserved coach were fighting over luggage space beneath lower seat. Every one was having more than expected luggage and every one wanted safe space. There were quarrels thanks god not infighting. No one could sleep up to Mid Night. Railway should divide vacant space in equal three parts and mark it with seat numbers. The great passengers having excess luggage should be asked to keep it on their berth and allow other passengers to enjoy travel. Indians require lathi and dandas even for these small things so it is better to end discretion and let passengers enjoy peaceful journey. more

I would also suggest we should create rule for space for luggage...If we do so we still have to have another rule how to maintain and then we talk about it. The above specific topic and topic which should be dealt by passengers and with maturity....How can Railway really help us....when we are not able to help ourselves. more
I face this issue during Shatabdi Express travel. more
Suggestion is impartible and also unnecessary. The incident that you quoted could be one of the rarest of rare cases. Now a days, most people carry very less luggage which is movable by themselves without any need for a cooli. Division will infact reduce the area available as small gaps will be created in each divided areas due to size of luggage. more
Even overloading and standees increase many fold on certain occasions. more
I entirely agree with Shri G Santhanam that IMPLEMENTATION only matters. We make laws and do not implement uniformly ( failure of Executives) thereby putting law abiders to a disadvantage and not offering level playing field to all. This is in all spheres of our national life and not limited to Railways. It is sad and true. RYK. more
