Allotment of Berths – Solutions
1. The berth allotment system while booking the tickets should be made more user friendly
2. Berth allotment should be made more transparent and user driven
3. If the age entered while booking is 60+, the system should automatically allot a lower berth
4. While booking tickets there should be a column asking if a person has any special needs and the berth should be allotted accordingly
5. A fixed number of lower berths should be reserved in every train for the disabled, senior citizens, mothers with young kids
6. If the system is not able to allot seats to a group together, it should display it as a message before confirming the booking
7. An option of choosing a berth while booking online should be added in general class tickets too
8. The seat map should be shown while booking tickets, like in case of airlines
9. Passengers between 15 and 25 should always be allotted upper berth automatically
10. With the seat availability, the number of different berth available should also be shown
