Am I prone to strokes?

Am I Prone To Strokes:
...
TIA:
TIA stands for “Transient Ischemic Attack”. TIA is a temporary loss of blood supply to the brain, often due to the blockage in the carotid artery in the neck. TIA usually lasts less than an hour and leaves no apparent effects. One third of those who experience a TIA will have stroke within “Next Five Years.”

Cause of Stroke
Ischemic strokes are caused by an obstruction in a vessel supplying blood to brain. 87 per cent of strokes are ischemic Much less common “Hemorrhagic Strokes” are the result of weakened artery wall that ruptures. In an ischemic stroke, two million brain cells die every minute during the stroke, causing brain damage, disability or death.

Silent Stroke
It occurs when a person stroke without any symptoms. Silent strokes involve brain cell death just as regular strokes do. They are known to cause cognitive impairment and dementia.

Symptoms of Stroke
FAST
F: Face: ask the person to smile, does the face drop? A: Arms: ask the person to raise his arms, does one arm drift down? S: Speech: Is the speech slurred? T: Time: seek medical help immediately. Stroke symptoms include: numbness, weakness, or paralysis of the face, arm or leg, usually on one side, difficulty speaking or understanding, dizziness, trouble walking or maintaining balance, sudden severe headache, confusion, memory problems or special disorientation(the inability of a person to correctly determine his/her body position).

Before Stroke Causes Permanent Damage
You must receive medical attention within one hour of stroke in order to avoid permanent brain damage. Clot busting drugs can save you from brain damage and even save your life.

What can increase risk stroke

Good preventive information shared, Sharmaji. Thank you. I have suffered a stroke and survived. Hence, there is no chance of 2nd one. Why? I have mentally won the stroke. I take the food that is light, many as detailed in this post. Early in the morning empty stomach, I take Haldi i.e. turmeric with luke warm water and honey. It energizes me and protects from many toxins. Ashwagandharisht (An ayurvedic health tonic) has really boosted my activeness. I am 61 and can ascend and descend 45 stairs. I feel happy when my breath does not leave me to sit on the stairs. Earlier I used to. more
