Amul raided in Ghaziabad
Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) officials have raided Amul's godown in Ghazaibad here and took away six samples of its various milk products for testing. The FDA officials also directed to destroy milk pouches stored in the godown, which were curdling, officials said. more

This can only be tackled by consumer awareness by govt. and manufactures for checking Expiry date, insisting for cash memo containing batch no. and expiry date. more

In addition Nirmala Chauhanji, I wish to add that why we should wait or do the sampling of various items so slow. Why can't we go to shops and take samples of all the food items at a time. We have to develop a fear among the manufacturers/suppliers that they will be be taken up by law and booked if they deal in spurious items. We should not wait for the people to die and initiate action after that. Why we are scared of the big names. Please see the fat profit reports of the companies. They have an obligation to manufacture & supply the healthy items. Sampling should be done on monthly basis initially and then 6 monthly but random. more
