Announcement on Dec 31: Citizen Expectations

The demonetisation drive ends on Dec 30th i.e. the last day to deposit the old 500 and 1000 notes in the bank.

Going by your posts and comments, many citizens seem to have an expectation that more announcements will be made by the PM or the Government post that day.

With his post, we would like to seek your specific inputs on what should be the key initiatives announced by the Government. What should these initiatives be focused on? Some suggestions received so far are driving success of demonetisation, catching laundering, strike on other forms of black money, fighting corruption, income tax reduction, etc.

We look forward to your inputs! more

I fully stand by the decision of the BJP Govt. regarding demonetisation. However, the implementation needs to be closely monitored, as the Govt. has notified that all the invalidated currency has not reached their coffers. I would like to add here that the govt.. should be considerate to loyal citizens who were not able to deposit the OHD Currency due to long queues, old age, out of country or any such proper reason. more
This was a long due action, only an strong leader can take such decision. I feel with lot of pains suffered by many of us the end result should be good. more
