Friday night, another Nirbhaya victim of…..
Is she a victim of rape only? She is victim of our failed system. Govt. has announced today that services of Uber will be stopped in India with immediate effect. Will that help? Will it reduce number of rapes in the country? You stop one Uber today; you will find another Uber tomorrow. The point is what went wrong? What is constantly going wrong in the system?
Let us have a look at why companies/ individuals flout systems? I want to share my personal experience.
After Shifting to Gurgaon 9 months back, I hired a maid. The RWA of society asked our maid to get her police verification done to get permission to enter the society. Till then she was given a temporary permit to work in the society. Our maid went to police station every Saturday for 7 months continuously and her police verification was not done. Reason: God only knows. Her papers were complete. Police sent her back every time without explaining why?
With this kind of experience, do you think people would come forward to get police verification done of any domestic help? What would have happened if Uber had applied for police verification of 1000s of drivers it had hired? When business has to expand fast, the entire govt. machinery has to act equally fast. So, is it only Uber to be blamed? I am not trying to take sides of Uber. They have to undergo their share of punishment. But It is time for our Govt. also to introspect.
I have recently turned entrepreneur after being a salaried person for 15 years. I decided to come in pharma business and restaurant business. I applied for drug license two and a half months back and am still waiting for it. Why? No major reason. First all the govt. officials were busy in Haryana election duties. Then they did not want to process any file because they are all afraid of taking bribe under new govt. Since nothing moves in govt. department without ‘chai pani’, how can they clear a file without it?
Everybody whom I am meeting for business purpose has told me one thing common: if you want to be in business, you can’t follow all rules. If you do so, you will be so busy in following rules only, with no time left for business.
What should businesses do? Go back to Hindu growth rate of 70s India? If not, then entire govt. machinery has to be overhauled, with police department to be first in queue. more

One more issue is crowding of auto drivers at the steps of mg road metro station. This makes coming out of metro station laborious. They should sit in auto and in que so that passengers can hire them in orderly manner. Even their waiting for passengers and blocking movement of trafic at various junction's should also be stopped they have to stop and drop or pick passengers enroute between points without waiting endlessly. And only one auto should be allowed to wait not more than 3minutes enroute. more

Its wrong to relate rural background and being characterless , cities have more characterless people around , core issue is unemployment and migration of lower strata to cities from villages and living without family crops in frustration. lets keep politics and people with political agenda targeting a particular govt out of this serious and honest discussion. This is not a forum to malign MP chief minister or Rajnath singh. And this must be a personal distorted record that R Venkatesh Govind is talking about . Every one knows the trends and situation in U.P..but can we confine ourselves to systemic changes and measures to be instituted? the rapists will not disappear or reappear with the fact that whether it is sheela Dixit or Kejriwal or Nijib Jung who is at the helm of affairs. The police needs to provide preventive safety and security and until we have honest,efficient and committed police force with the officers actually in control and not led/ intimidated by the hardened SHOs, things will not change. Lets not play dilute this discussion. more

I think this whole discussion had become political where we only accused state govt or central govt without giving a thought on its solution This remind me of incident where a man was walking down a empty late wearing lots of gold chain , when someone robs him , he blames all for robery . Do you think its individual fault or police fault more
