Anti Corruption Bill

Chopra ji has shared good news about anti-corruption bill. The best part of the bill is actually the corporate corruption aspect is addressed. Now if any employee gives bribes on behalf of an organisation to further its interests on direction of its superior functionaries, the functionaries will be held liable.

We should have a discussion on how corporate bribery is done and what awareness must be created around the new rule. opportunity to reduce corruption in corporate India?? more

Is lobbying also come under this? more
It is difficult to prove and hold functionaries liable. Because, if a case comes up the Boss will flatly refuse to accept the liability. The person /Officer actually giving bribe shall be and should be punished. If he is advised by his Seniors to indulge into this (giving bribe) the Person/Officer concern should have courage to flatly say NO to his Boss. more
Debarring public from lodging complaints against the bribe seeking corrupt government officials will only encourage this groups of officers to adopt more corrupt ways to harass the common man unwilling to bribe. What was the government's intention in making such a blunder provision in the bill is a subject matter of deliberation and pondering. more
The larger issue of the bill is that it curtails/ discourages an aggrieved citizen in filing complaint against the bribe seeking govt functionary. A common citizen is at a disadvantage in having to prove the allegation as in most cases collecting evidence is impossible. Even the investigating agencies, with all the powers at their command, have not often been able to book the accused. Moreover, the complainant now will fear making complaints lest it turns against him/her. The likely impacts are going to be that those who have a vested interest in getting permission/ license / sanction etc. even if irregular, will be a willing bribe giver and honest/ genuine applicant may be harassed. Transparency and accountability are only going to go down. more
Dear learned members it is difficult to eradicate corruption at any stage in any dept. let elected people reform constitution to zero or reduce the Govt fees/charges for any purpose so that we get things done by paying bribes. It is the look out of Govt to drastically reduce their salaries n perks. more
