ANY LIMITS TO ADS IN THE COMPARTMENTS ? ALSO SHOULD THEY NOT BE EASILY REMOVABLE ?

I had to travel to Bangalore (12639- Brindhavan)in unreserved compartment on Saturday 10th as my wait listed ticket didn't get confirmed .

ISSUE No 1:
First of all the Railways SHOULDN'T HAVE FLASHED IN THE SCREEN "Book Now " .
While booking on on 9th I saw Book Now in the Screen & I went ahead . Payment made , ticket generated . Normally there will Mobile alerts about the position in the middle of the night / wee hours if confirmed and seat & Coach number .
So I had to done the role of an average Musafir , with a carry bag and reach station an hour before to jostle and get a place inside first , then sit for the 6 hour ordeal .
Till I got a place to sit I had to rove my eyes around . That is when I saw the attached pictures .

ISSUE No. 2 : The ads stuck on every window . That is 36 in one single compartment . Good for Railways , some revenue from C.M. Yeddyurappa , just formed the Government as Defection of M.L.A.s . Must have had lots of fresh finance.
But what is the Use out of the 362 KM , the train travels just 90 KM within Karnataka and the rest 250 KM in another State . Most passengers are poor ones from Tamil Nadu. WHY WASTE TAX PAYERS MONEY THAT WILL NOT FETCH ANY PUBLICITY.
I thought this can happen only in the UR (unreserved ) Compartments . But Returning to Chennai On 12th In a reserved Non A/C , i saw the same features .

Advertisements make the train and even railway stations look ugly and other than railways/train related information nothing else should be displayed. Advice from experts in aesthetics/architects may be sought to clearly identify some limited spots for advertising since revenue could be earned, but earning revenue must not be first priority. Our cities, our trains, our buses, bus stands they all look so ugly due to advt both legal and illegal everywhere on every possible wall or electric pole or tree and even on traffic signs. We need to develop a sense of aesthetics. Indian Airports in metro cities happen to be only place which are bit okay though they are nowhere near changi or other airports. more
Yes many people complained about IRCTC on line booking problems but Railways did not bother to rectify. It is better Railways outsource private players whose service is much better. more
Sir, I fully agree with your observations. The problem is that these works are given to third party contractors who are somehow related to the bureaucrats or the politicians or both. They are promised some figure of earning in advance and the cut money is also taken in advance. Thereafter, the contractor has to fend for himself as the giver of the contract wears a starched white khadi and has nothing to do with irresponsible work done by vendors. You look at any Govt advt calling for tender... The print is so small that one just can't read it, on purpose. more
