Appeal to PM by Senior Citizens
SCSS was supposed to provide an Assured Return and create a guaranteed regular income flow.
The SCSS interest rate was 9% in 2004. It was increased to 9.3% w.e.f. April 2015 to take care of rising prices.
The interest rate has been reduced to 7.4% and was to be further reduced to 6.5% as per reports. However FM has withdrawn the notification of 6.5% for at least 3 months.
We appeal to PM Shri Narendra Modi to change the name of SCSS 2004 Scheme to "Senior Citizens Welfare Scheme 2021" effective April 2021 with interest rate of 9.3%. This scheme should not be part of small savings schemes wherein interest rates are reviewed every quarter. As main objective is to provide assured return and guaranteed regular income flow to senior citizens. The interest rate shall not be reduced but increased to meet inflationary trends in essential items, medicines and healthcare.
All other rules of SCSS 2004 shall apply to SCWS 2021. more
Anyways if your good self still wants to go ahead, I am with YOU. more
Sir....Have you heard any such petition by Politicians for OROP ( One Rank One Pension). As you have rightly said that they get PENSION FOR EVERY RANK.
QUOTE "We are the lot we can neither protest nor block roads to protest for our rights and demands as we not counted as a part of the vote bank. We are there only to write under protest and pay taxes without any source of income and ado." UNQUOTE. more
