Apple billing from overseas no service
I dont know about google but apple keeps billing Indians from overseas and charges basis auto renewal. Why cant Govt of India mandate these multinational companies to bill from their India office. Another problem in addition to auto renewal is there is no customers service.

Even the Google is auto-charging renewal for its Truecaller application without taking a consent from the subscriber or sending OTP for realising the payment. Even the bank do not bother to take approval of the account holder before releasing the fund. Account holder comes to know about the deduction from the monthly statement only. more

There are other Multinational companies too who bill from their foreign office even though - they have an Indian office. The bill does not take care of GST - rather deducts VAT of that country. Why the GST officers are sleeping on such non-compliance ? more

Norton Antivirus does the same thing. I argued and argued with them to change the amount on my bill which they said they could not. The manager was Indian but the company is American. After a lot of haggling, I got them to give a 50% discount and cancelled my auto renewal. At least then I am safe. Yes, why does the government not control them???? more
