APPROPRIATE SEATS BE OFFERED FOR GROUP BOOKINGS:
When I traveled with my wife to Bangalore last fortnight in Double Decker by Chair car we were allotted seats 9 &10 . There was a family of 3 , they were allotted 6,7,& 8 . So one was allotted in the next seat .This happened close to each other so we swapped the 2 seater 6 & 7 and gave our , that is 9 & 10 part of the 3 seater . That resulted in we traveling next to each other and the family of 3 traveling together in the 3 seater .
But if it is not close , there will b a problem of re shifting the baggage , going up and down negotiating and so on.
The same way there will be bigger groups travelling in 4's and above . THE DESIGNERS HAVE DESIGNED SOME SEATS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE COMPARTMENT SPECIALLY FOR THEM TO TRAVEL TOGETHER AND COMFORTABLY
[and also not be a hindrance to others ]
IRCTC SHOULD REALIZE AND ALLOT SUCH SEATS FOR GROUPS TRAVELING ACCORDINGLY.
So there should be provision in the booking soft ware to allot such seats as,
* for the 2's in the 2seaters
* for the 3's in the 3seaters
* for the ones more than 4's appropriately in the middle of the compartments.
- UTILIZE THE DESIGNED FACILITIES TO THE BEST USE AND UPGRADE BOOKING SERVICES . more
FOR THE COMFORTS OF THE PASSENGERS / CUSTOMERS [WE ARE
CUSTOMERS ].
RAIL SAFETY IS ANOTHER SUBJECT . RAILWAYS SHOULD PIN
RESPONSIBILITY ON SOME APPROPRIATE PERSONNEL.
THAT SHOULD NOT BE MIXED UP WITH CUSTOMER CARE . more
