Apps must have standards
Many apps in India are giving tv ads and are still a nightmare to use for consumer. Can BIS please set standards for apps. Like ecommerce apps must disclose (XYZ) and flow in certain manner. Social Media apps should not permit content of (ABC) nature. Apps doing financial transactions payments must be using secure networks and encryption for sensitive data.

I am afraid, whether BIS can frame any standards. Some IT related organisation to look into the matter.

These are the minimum requirements. Consumers' interests should always be on TOP PRIORITY for any concerns.

Fully agree with the complain. India must have a regulatory body to approve the apps that can be installed.

Even the newspapers, who publish thousands of advt.in classified advt.n other columns, also raise their hands, simply printing few lines ,"individuals must verify the details or newspaper publisher is not responsible". How can any newspaper publisher escape like that. Most of the times such classified advtisers never give full contact details ,names, or landline contact numbers, they only give either mail id or mobile numbers which can be changed easily
Is there any regulation enforced on the print media also.
Newspaper publishers charge money for publishing advts.how can they shirk their social responsibility. It is high time the regulator authorities must bring print media also under the provisions of effective regulation.

Apps are hijacked by ill-full Business Evils, Political Supporters, Anti Social elements AND ANTI NATIONALISTS TOO. These Apps must be Regulated by GOI TO PREVAIL NATIONAL AND SOCIAL SAFETY AND SECURITY. Comprehensive Law is a must to curb Malpractices sheltered UNDER JOURNALISM AND UNCONTROLLED Rights of Individual Liberties of 'Freedoms of Speech and Expression.
