Are babus pushing business to agents?

I have been trying to register for GST for sometime now with no success. I have heard that a lot of businesses are facing a similar problem.

Issues felt
- System hangs
- OTP to mobile / email is not received
- Resend OTP button does not work

Now considering we have limited period to register this puts pressure on businesses to go to agents to register. They don't have any problem registering. The cost anywhere from Rs. 5000 upwards.

Is this the loophole the officials have found to make some money under the table. While the govt is trying to get everyone online and reduce the scope of corruption they need to figure in the attitude and greed of the officers. How does one solve for this? more

Dear Anita Why blame others when you have not done it early. Now people are filing GSTR1 of July and GSTR 3 B of August. Hope the system was open for registration in Jan 2017. Anyhow nothing to worry if you are new entrant(Not a migration) more
Your suspicion may be correct as BJP Govt. is RSS based govt. and for everything try to involve more and more middle agents ,which is only profession of most of RSS crowd. Why govt. is not asking manufacturers or main packers to add GST in MRP inadvance and PRINT:GST AND ALL TAXES INCLUDED. more
Most of the babus want money are delay the things. In Telangana from date of web application to sales agreement of 3000 sq yards in a village ind site took 8 months after rigorous almost daily followup. it was almost a hell. almost they were goondas. the registrar is corrupt, asked for money. the assistants in registrar office wanted money I was adamant some times key posts are occupied by strong minority community as our govt depends on cast/ sectionalised votes The hell type atmosphere will continue for some more time till the majority opens eyes and gets educated I pray the God for healthy and wise India more
I do apprehend what is perceived to be true by Anita N. more
Yes, this true. In any every department, you can find facilitator easily. They have very depth holding in department. However, if your all data & attachment are correct there is difficulty to register in GST. I did 4-5 registration with out any problem & agent. You can approach me for registration, if needed. shashank.agarwal@rediffmail.com, 9412580552 more
Thanks Shashank. What time would work for you to take a call tomorrow. I would like to give it a try once more today. more
