Are Indians paying too big a price for democracy ?
Obviously, many of the politicians in the country today are the worst of the country men. Unfortunately, they get elected to the parliament and assemblies with money power and muscle power and in the process the country is forced to be at their mercy.
In the normal circumstances, if some people shout in the meetings to prevent the speaker from speaking , such shouting people would be termed as rowdy elements.
Now, Chandra Babu Naidu , Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh instructs the MPs belonging to his party to disrupt the proceedings of the parliament. He justifies this disruption since his party is an ally of BJP and BJP government should be given preferential treatment and sanction whatever he wants. . What sort of Chief Ministers we have? If every state would start making such demands and decides to disrupt the parliament when such demands are not yielded, will not democracy in the country go for a toss?
Most people feel today that many politicians are the worst culprits who are standing in the way of progress of the country . Unless such politicians are caught and severely punished for their misbehavior and corruption, there will be no salvation for India.
With the media particularly TV channels projecting and highlighting only the misbehaving and corrupt politicians and ignoring the concerned quality citizens of India, the entire morale of the country is now getting disturbed and the fibre and fabric of India is being tarnished.
Obviously, Indians seem to be paying too big a price for democracy in the present form and structure.
