Are many missing second dose

There are media reports that say over 50000 people in just city of Bhopal alone have not gone to take their 2nd dose.

If this is the case in Bhopal alone than that means the number is in crores for the nation.

Everyone in the circles should talk to the vendors staff labour and other people and find out if this is for real.

Govt also has created lot of confusion in duration between Covishield doses and that could also be reason.

Based on what people report if there is a trend request circle manager to take this up for survey.

If LocalCircles raises issues both central and state govt and media listens. more

As Schools are opened many are preferring Vaccination now as is evident from Vaccine Statistics more
People must come forward on their own. It is unfortunate that more than 25% of the paramedical staff has not taken the vaccine till now. So awareness campaign must work in full force 24/7 more
Our social media has unfortunately highlight all such news and not publishing good deeds happening across the nation. In Man ki Baat programme, PM brings out all such encouraging events which citizens must know. Coming to the subject, this phenomenon of people not taking the 2nd dose is nothing new and happens across universe. In US more than 70% of the population who took the 1st dose, has not taken the 2nd jab. Nonetheless, this doesn't mean that we should also lag behind but ensure people taking both the jabs. People also must be sensible to cooperate with the government. In fact, government must spread vax centers near the community/complexes/offices etc which will boost the numbers of people coming forward. Again press blows up the exceptional cases impacted adversely which may be one in lacs which is common with every vaccine. At the same time, government must ensure continuous supply of vaccine. more
Yes, there are many who are not able to get slot for the 2nd dose and in some places shortage of vaccine, the vaccination centers are closed. more
As per the report, those people didn't turn up for their second dose, which indicates lack of awareness and not due to shortage of vaccine. Vaccination was started well before the elections and was progressing well though it was some what adversely affected on starting up of vaccination of the age group of 18-45 years as the vaccine manufacturing establishments were unable to cope up with the demand and supply owing to our huge number of people belonging to this age group. There may be some confusion and instances of visiting more than one vaccination center to be vaccinated but every one got their doses. If people don't approach the vaccination centres expecting the government to come to their door steps, it would be too much to expect in a country of 1350 million people. However, the governments (central & state) should use the print & electronic media at the optimum level to create awareness among our people. more
