Are mobile apps listening to your private conversations

Thanks to all members who participated in the survey on whether some apps are listening to our private phone conversations and using them to present ads to us. The findings are very revealing and below is the link to the report

Please make it a point to share the link with all your phone contacts so they examine what all apps they have given their microphone access to and that they only give it when absolutely necessary. more

This is very obvious. Telcos are mining our data as a means of additional revenue. There is no data privacy law in India so they can get away with it. There is no doubt that automated eavesdropping is taking place. more  
I have nothing to hide if anyone knows about what I talk with anyone else. Only they should not disturb me and make undue calls to me at any time. more

Yes. I am getting 5-6 in an average a day. Though I am using BSNL cell phone, it seems there are leak of conversations. more
