Arrest of ex air force chief
The tyagi brothers and a gautam khaitan of ca firm khaitan and co. Have been arrested by cbi for massive corruption in augusta westland deal. The question is 1) is the last pm and sonia gandhi also party to it in some way 2) if chartered accountants collude like this why are their firms not shut down. How many other collusions may have been organized by such ca's. Should companies where these CA's have been advising for years (based on their last 5 year incomes) be also investigated to unearth new corruption.
Delhi has a ton of fixers and if we have to clean up the nation they need to clean up at the roots otherwise all this demonetisation black money wont be able to make any dent.

If Mr. Modi has started real swachh bharat, might as well follow it through. more

The CAs are the most favoured community of the government despite the fact that they are the epicenters of corruptions and tax evasion. They become millionaires within short span of time by giving ill advice of tax evasion to all the big houses. When our leaders and ministers expected to have highest degree of morale and character are found involved in various scams and loot of the nation's wealth displaying little regards to the sufferings of the common man, it is no surprise that one of the Chiefs of the Defence Services is suspected to be involved in bribe scam in a defence deal. It is to be seen as to whether the government deploy its machinery in finding out all the involved into the scam or it completes the exercise midway by putting only those into trial whose names have been disclosed in the preliminary investigations to cover up the involvement of any favoured personality(ies)! more

I look the problem from different angle. Since there is smoke, I believe there should be fire. Now you investigate and prove after 30 / 40 years - every thing was OK, go ahead. My belief is not changed. WHY I DO HAVE SUCH FEELING? WHEN I SEE CORRUPTION EVERY WHERE - AND THEY ARE ENJOYING THE LIFE, WHY THIS SHOULD NOT BE THE SAME AT VERY VERY HIGH LEVEL. DEMOCRACY DOES NOT MEAN YOU REQUIRE THE BEST MAN AT THE HEAD - YOU REQUIRE THE BEST MAN EVERY WHERE. DO WE HAVE? SO IN MY OPINION - WE DO REQUIRE SOME THING DIFFERENT TO FULL FILL THE DREAMS OF PEOPLE WHO LAID THEIR LIFE TO GIVE US FREEDOM. WE SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF US. more

In some other posts, I had suggested 1) Full amount of the amount whether in Cash or kind, is to be forfeited. 2) A penalty of 500% for the amount concerned is to be realised from all concerned ( owner/carrier/facilitator etc.) individually And (not collectively) 3) other action departmental proceedings, criminal proceedings must follow more

CBI and the government are doing halfhearted job. It's more like firefighting. If the task in hand is to get to the bottom of the issue and cleanse the system, much can be achieved. The exercise seems not genuine. more

The role of CAs or advisers appears to be in doubt. If such professionals are involved, they need to be brought to books and should not be allowed to carry out the practice any more. Highly placed persons found gillty must be punished heavily so that other people must not dare for generations together n try recurrence. more
