Can the President do this without J&K assembly approving such a change? Attached is the signed Presidents notification already. more

Since J & K is under President's rule, Governor acts on behalf of the assembly and his consent has been taken to promulgate the amendment by the President after parliament has approved the same. So there nothing illegal. Infact, Supreme Court has refused to hear the plea against scrapping article 370 & 35A & summarily dismissed all cases filed. One needs to understand that this is done in the interest of the nation to bring J & K into the main stream of the nation. It should be one nation one constitution one law and no states or UTs should be differentiated or discriminated. Anomoly existed for over 7 decades has come to an end. more
