Artificial ripening in azadpur mandi
Almost all mango coming from azadpur mandi is either ripened through ethylene sachets or carbide. Last year this report below was released yet no action by govt.
Would the fssai and delhi govt officials visit the mandi and raid these traders doing illegal activity??

Make this part of a virtuous campaign including plastics elimination. Plastics, a petroleum product enters the food chain via packaging or every convenience carry bag, adding to toxicity. No laws have been able to rid them and they find a way into our foods, if we remember since years the "panni" ban. Polybags, single use ones -Pannis still abound entering our edible foods adding towards accumulating filth. Remember over 10 years ago court order was given ordering panni ban.Therefore, with carbides inclusion, as a larger holistic awareness approach we get better results, maybe. After all, the effect being the same in the end, improved recycling and rejuvenation. more

Agree . Guess money making is the only motive each and every official of this country has . This , adulteration issue we are watching in news channels since last 20 years..FSSAI individuals are no different , they are very well aware of this . Most of them prefer buying from organic farms . No one is bothered about general public . more
