Asset declaration process for public servants
This is reference media reports regarding major increase in assets of political leaders in power. We should also get to understand how the same is achieved & from what sources.
Our Finance Minister should appoint such ministers/ collegues as advisors to Finance ministry, so that our national wealth too can grow at those rates. We keep talking of black money source from foreign banks as if those are the only black. Only sources. The real black money is here in India. Each such individual in public position, is expected to file a return on increase in assets every year. This should be strictly enforced and defaulters ' salary/ allowances should not be released till a compliance of same is made. These returns should be analyses and explanation should be sought for any substantial change, which should be added to the records. more

Dear Praveen Sharmaji, Sir, I am a retired Manager from NTPC Ltd. We had to submit & declare regularly all assets, how it was acquired and also details of holding of shares/equities & capital gain if any. Sir, I want to convey that this submission was mandatory since long. The only thing I am not aware of is "whether the same rule is applicable to politicians also?" Subrata Guha more
